Ik Trap Gewoon Door is an exhibition curated by Sven unik-id who brought together conceptual artists and people with a background in psychosis sensitivity, ito compose art side by side. Inspired by their life stories, they represent their state of being through all kinds of materials.
Koen Vanmechelen and Alessandro made “De Schreeuw”, a coalescence of two masks. The blue part represents serenity and tranquillity while the red one stands for the torment of a psychosis.
23 artists including Pieter Stockmans, Lize Spit, Luc Tuymans, Wim Vandekeybus, Willem Vermandere, Lieve Blancquaert, and many others collaborated with Panamarenko as a supporter. After the exhibition, the art works are auctioned by Christie’s to support Te Gek!.
