De Kus, public sculpture, Sint-Truiden (BE)

On the 23rd of May; Koen Vanmechelen's public art installation De Kus (the kiss) was officially inaugurated in Vanmechelen's home town; Sint-Truiden, Belgium. Two steel swords cross, creating an X; universal symbol of a kiss. On top; a golden hen and bronze rooster; red junglefowls. A reference to the origin of all other chicken breeds.
