Support The Walking Egg foundation by participating in the Warmathon Genk 18/12/2018.
Together with fertility specialist Willem Ombelet, The Walking Egg project was conceived in 1997 in Genk. It got its name from one of Koen Vanmechelen's artworks; a glass egg supported by two little legs, on the go, looking for the right temperature and spot to hatch.
On the intersection of art and science, The Walking Egg focuses on fertility and reproduction. In 2010 the non-profit The Walking Egg (TWE) was founded to provide fertility treatments and family planning for women in developing countries. In 2015, the first Walking Egg Fertility Centre opened its doors in Ghana.
