X–Festival is an annual cross–disciplinary, visionary, inspirational and stimulating ideas festival at the crossroads of science, technology and art towards a creative and sustainable future. X–Festival aims to bring together different worlds, to stimulate innovation through cross–overs, to explore new frontiers and horizons and to be a Big–Bang of reflection and action.
Essential to the DNA of X–Festival are space for critical inquiry and debate and the ambition to stimulate and challenge towards creative action.
The theme of X–Festival 2019 is "LOOKING FURTHER". Visionary speakers from different disciplines share their vision about the future and/or present fascinating novel developments and ideas that can have a disruptive impact.
Belgian artist Koen Vanmechelen has been invited for a lecture entitled 'The Future of Now'.
