Dreaming together in LABIOMISTA's garden
On Sunday, May 19, children and young people will take center stage at LABIOMISTA! During Day of Cosmogolem, the Cosmogolem brings creativity, play and wonder to the 24-acre park and invites you and your family to dream along.
Expect a day full of wonderful workshops, dancing puppets, fantastic animals, surprising artworks and delicious treats.
With the theme of Dream Garden, you will discover the magic of LABIOMISTA with a program full of surprising and stimulating activities. The Cosmogolem comes to life in an enchanting puppet show created by Vanmechelen in collaboration with theater FroeFroe and several musicians especially for this day. In the workshops you will get to work with natural materials and Library Genk provides immersive read-aloud moments. Or go on a tour together with a Ranger of National Park Hoge Kempen and discover what lives and flourishes in the park. Finally, you can look for the colorful Happy Stones and flowers made in collaboration with the children of GA voor Kunst, the Genk schools and after-school care centers. All activities are free of charge.

Who is the Cosmogolem?
The Cosmogolem is a large, wooden sculpture by artist Koen Vanmechelen and is a worldwide symbol for children's rights. The proceeds of the 'Day of the Cosmogolem' go to the Cosmogolem vzw and Speel'Wei in KIOSK Nieuwe Kempen.
