Uncomfortable, Art Flow Zwolle, 21 May – 4 Sept 2022

Koen Vanmechelen’s artwork Uncomfortable is featured in the first edition of the exposition Art Flow in Zwolle, The Netherlands. Art Flow Zwolle is presents artworks of international and Zwolle-based artists. Their work can be seen at various locations in the city, which together form a special art route.


The northern Dutch town of Zwolle has been placing visual arts prominently in the townscape for years; it stimulates artists in all sorts of ways and with the museum De Fundatie, which has its artistic director Dr. Ralph Keuning and over the years has been richly endowed with numerous donations from private collections, it has a museum of world class.


Sculptor Ronald A. Westerhuis, who has a studio in Zwolle, worked together with Belgian gallerist Annelies Ysebaert to realise this project. The result is an exposition that will fill the streets of Zwolle. In addition to Ronald A. Westerhuis, this first edition brings work by Koen Vanmechelen , Philip Aguirre y Otegui, Stefaan Van Biesen, Guillaume Bijl, Caroline Coolen, Luc Deleu, Stief DeSmet, Els Dietvorst, Agnes Duijves, Maen Florin, Dr Gindi, Eudald De Juana, Nicolas Lavarenne, Alexandra Leyre Mein, Jason Meyrs, Ria Paque, Arne Quinze, and Yves Velter.
